I suddenly realized that it has been several months since I posted last. Clearly, I must make it a habit to post more often.
I
have some ideas about how to expand my earnings with some passive income. People do it all the time; I understand there are
people who make a living from blogging or posting Youtube videos and have no need of a full-time job. I don't know that I
want to go that far, but I would like to do something that will bring in money as a supplement to what I can earn through
writing and full-time work. I have a few ides in mind, including owning rental property and posting videos, but I know these
things can be a crapshoot. Additionally, every time I try to do something, I get discouraged by slow progress, and don't stick
with it. This is going to be my biggest hurdle.
As for the novel, that is stalled. I will admit, I have to go through
my edits, but I don't seem to have any interest. I don't know what the problem is. I will be attending a social gathering
next Sunday with a group of independently published Minnesota writers. I hope doing so will impel me to get my edits done
and move on to the next stage of publishing. It might, at that; the last time I attended this get-together, I published two
short stories right afterward.
Meanwhile, a very good friend and fellow writer, Craig Hansen, whom I have known since
my college days in the 1980s, has suffered a stroke with brain bleeding. He is two years younger than me, only 48, which has
me a bit rattled. 48 is young for a stroke. It shows how important it is to stay healthy in your later years.
That's
all for now. I just wish I had more good news to report.
